This is a view looking across the Slad valley between Slad and Stroud in Gloucestershire. The light was nearly gone but the heavy snow that weekend kept the light bouncing around and turning the fields into gentle blues and lilacs. Tucked into the hillside, the light glows from the cottage, a promise of warmth in the chilly evening light. All materials fully archival
