Green Stripes, Slad Valley
Acrylic on Khadi paper
30 x 30cm
Looking across the valley, I had watched as a farmer had methodically driven his tractor up and down the hilly field cutting the summer growth into neat lines of green. The lovely sound of the tractor isn’t something I can capture, but I wanted to paint this moment, just after the farmer had left and the fields were sitting looking stripey and sunny. So much golden green and summeriness. Painted in acrylic on Khadi cotton paper, unframed.
